Bayside Rugby's blue striped men's premier jerseys (left) were stolen last week from a club member's vehicle.

The Bayside Sharks Rugby Club is frantically searching for a complete set of men's rugby jerseys, after a bag full of 20 were stolen over the Thanksgiving long weekend.

The jerseys, which have alternating light and dark blue vertical stripes, were stolen from a team member's vehicle sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. The uniforms have a Bayside Sharks logo on the top left, and have 'Russell Brewing' printed in large letters across the front.

The team is set to play this Saturday.

"We'll make do if we can't find them – we'll dig up some old ones, or something, but it's $2,000 for a new set, so we'd love to find them," said Bayside's Mike Pajic.

Anyone who finds the jerseys can call Pajic at 604-617-3386.

The theft of rugby jerseys is the second on the Peninsula in the last two months. In mid-August, the South Surrey-based Guardians – made up of many Bayside members – lost their uniforms when the club president's truck, with the jerseys inside, was stolen from in front of his home in Morgan Creek.
