White Rock RCMP are asking the public to help identify a man who robbed the HSBC Bank Canada (1493 Johnston Rd.) on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the robbery occurred around 4:40 p.m. Jan. 21, when a man wearing a black toque and a fake beard walked in and demanded money from a teller, stating he had a gun.
No weapon was produced, and the man fled on foot after receiving a sum of cash.
The robber – whose image was captured clearly by surveillance cameras – is described as a five-foot-11 Caucasian. He was also wearing a brown hooded jacket and black athletic pants with a light-coloured stripe down the legs.
