A burning car brought White Rock fire crews to the 14600-block of North Bluff Road Monday.

The fire occurred about 1 p.m., in a white four-door Chrysler 300 that was eastbound on North Bluff.

Sgt. Roland Pierschke said the driver, a Langley man, told officials he pulled over when smoke started billowing from his dashboard. Flames erupted shortly after he got out of the car.

No one was injured in the fire, which caught the attention of area residents.

Cole Davidson said he ran to the scene after spotting smoke from a half-block away.

"I just noticed smoke from the window (of our house) and we ran over," said Davidson.

Pierschke said it's believed the fire, which was reported by a volunteer firefighter, was due to an electrical problem. The car was destroyed.
