The 39th annual Alexandra Festival takes place Saturday, May 25 at Camp Alexandra in Crescent Beach.
Hosted by Alexandra Neighbourhood House, the 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. event is to feature entertainment on an outdoor stage, family fun, vendors and mobile food trucks.
Performers scheduled include Chris Hamilton and the Bhangramatics. An Aboriginal crowd-inclusive powwow is also planned, along with Togoles African drumming and dance, and blues, jazz and rock music.
Family fun is to include two bouncy castles, face-painting, a creation station, and a First Nations circle storytime.
Artisans and crafters will be selling everything from jewelry to clothing and lotions.
Sources Food Bank, the White Rock/South Surrey Urban Food Markets and the Kwantlen Seed Library will be on hand at the community garden with information.
A variety of traditional and ethnic foods will be available all day.
A shuttle will be available from the #240 Crescent Beach Legion (2643 128 St.) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
