Surrey firefighters examine a Ford Ranger pickup that flipped on its side after it became involved in a two-vehicle collision on 24 Avenue near 160 Street Wednesday afternoon. No serious injuries were reported.

A late-model Ford Ranger pickup truck ended up on its side after a two-vehicle crash on 24 Avenue near 160 Street around 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

It appears the eastbound pickup truck was turning left off 24 Avenue when it collided with a westbound Chevrolet sedan.

The crash caused extensive front-end damage to the Chevrolet and left the pickup resting on the driver's side.

Neither the occupants of the car or the truck appeared to suffer serious injuries, but at least one driver was transported to hospital to be examined as a precaution.

Westbound traffic on 24 Avenue was limited to one lane for about an hour until the damaged vehicles could be towed away.
