Work is underway to remove the Merklin Street high water tower, as part of White Rock's Total Water Quality Management Project, which was taken over by the city with the purchase of the water utility last fall.
Upgrades to the Merklin site – which will include seismic improvements and the addition of a new pump station – are expected to be completed in 2017.
