Hiebert to host senate-reform forum

MP Russ Hiebert (South Surrey-White Rock-Cloverdale) will host a town hall-style forum Friday, in which senate reform and increased representation for B.C. in the House of Commons will be on the agenda.

MP Russ Hiebert (South Surrey-White Rock-Cloverdale) will host a town hall-style forum Friday, in which senate reform and increased representation for B.C. in the House of Commons will be on the agenda.

In addition to Hiebert, Minister of State for Democratic Reform Tim Uppal will also be in attendance.

Uppal will start the meeting by saying a few words, after which the floor will be open to questions.

The event is scheduled for Hall A at the White Rock Community Centre (15154 Russell Ave.) at 2 p.m.

The forum is free, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
