Homicide in North Surrey

Surrey RCMP have confirmed a man was gunned down in the 13900-block of Antrim Road on Sunday evening.

On July 31, emergency personnel were called to a residence in North Surrey shortly after 8 p.m., after receiving a call of a male suffering from gunshot wounds at a home in the area.

The victim, identified as 27-year-old Sean Christopher Kelly, was rushed to Royal Columbian Hospital but died of his injuries.

The victim has a lengthy criminal record including firearms charges and drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.

This is Surrey's 51st shooting of the year.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) and the Surrey RCMP will be working in partnership on the file.
