A White Rock man arrested in connection with a cache of chemicals found in an apartment last January remains in custody.

Following his bail hearing last Thursday, Hamish Sutherland is to remain in custody until the next scheduled court appearance on June 27.

Sutherland, 34, has been in custody since Jan. 24, 2012, after an anonymous tip led police to a third-floor Prospect Avenue apartment where a stash of chemicals were discovered.

Sutherland is charged with making or possessing explosives and “possession of firearm, etc. contrary to order.” He is also charged with breach of probation.
