Man arrested in Whalley stabbing

Police respond to a stabbing in Whalley on Thursday morning.

A man is in serious condition in hospital after being stabbed several times this week.

At 4:20 a.m. Thursday (April 7), Surrey RCMP received calls reporting a man had been stabbed near 103 Avenue and 128 Street.

Police arrived to find a man with multiple stab wounds to his upper body.

The suspect fled before police arrived.

The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in serious condition.

Police have since learned the victim and suspect live in the same residence, and a suspect has since been arrested without incident.

James Green, 29, has been charged with aggravated assault.

He was scheduled to appear in Surrey Provincial Court on Friday, April 8.
