Man, wanted on two warrants, arrested at border

The man, from Washington state, arrived at the border on June 29 with no identification.

U.S. border officers arrested a 45-year-old man at the Peace Arch crossing in June after an inspection found he was wanted on two outstanding warrants in Washington state.

The man, from Toppenish, Wash., arrived at the border on June 29 with no identification and gave a false name to officers; fingerprints revealed his real identity and the two warrants, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials.

One warrant was for failure to appear on charges of trafficking stolen property, another was for operating a vehicle without a valid licence.
