A fire at an abandoned house brought Surrey firefighters to the 16700-block of 24 Avenue last week.

Assistant fire Chief Brian Woznikoski said crews were alerted to the blaze around 7:30 p.m. April 25, and arrived to find the home fully engulfed.

“It was severe damage,” Woznikoski said.

Woznikoski said the house was in the process of being demolished.

No one was injured in the fire, the cause of which has not been determined.
