Sgt. Dave Smith was patrolling the White Rock promenade Sunday on his horse, Justice accompanied by his dog, Coyote.
The patrol is part of a community policing initiative that has been requested by residents and business owners for several years.
“For international visitors, all they want to see is a Mountie and whether they love horses or dogs, there is something for everyone,” says Smith.
The only other similar patrol is in Ottawa on Parliament Hill.
