Peace Arch News has been named a finalist in two categories in the 2022 BC and Yukon Community Newspaper Association (BCYCNA) Ma Murray Awards.

PAN is once again up for the general excellence award in its circulation class – an award it has won in each of the past two years. Cowichan Valley Citizen and the Vernon Morning Star are the other two finalists in category F.

Meanwhile, former PAN reporter/photographer Aaron Hinks is a finalist in the Sports Photo Award, over 10,000 (circulation) category for his rugby photo titled Shark attack.

The award winners will be announced May 14 during an event at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond, the first time the event has been held in person since the spring of 2019.
