Several police cars were on scene in Cloverdale at 176A Street near 58A Avenue on Saturday night, in response to reports of a multiple stabbing incident.

Surrey RCMP say that when units responded, officers discovered one person had received minor injuries, calling it a “scratch.”

On Sunday morning, Sgt. Duane Honeyman confirmed that one man was taken to hospital for “a very minor cut” after police went to the home following reports of an altercation at 9:40 p.m.

“The ambulance service called in saying a male arrived at their front door with a stab wound,” said Honeyman.

According to neighbour Dustin Hurrell, several police vehicles arrived on scene around 10 p.m., along with two K9 units.

RCMP left the scene around 10:20 p.m.

The initial investigation, Honeyman noted, has turned up little.

“So far no one is really speaking to the police,” he said.

More to come.
