Singer songwriter Paul Rodgers of bands such as The Firm, Bad Company, and Queen, accepted his Canadian citizenship at a Canadian Citizenship Week annual ceremony Friday morning at Central City.
Rodgers – who lives in the Crescent Beach area of South Surrey – also led the group in the singing of the Canadian anthem.
More than 100 new citizens from 30 different countries took part in the annual ceremony.
