Top three issues:

• Affordable Housing

• Limit Heights

• Clean Water

As a member of Council over the last four years, I worked hard to listen to residents and local business owners. My motions supported by Council included reducing maximum heights from 29 to 12 storeys in town centre, adding $4M to the City’s Affordable Housing reserve, helping Marine Drive businesses by opening parking lots and allowing them to expand patios during COVID-19.

I am most proud of my motion to get the pier fixed on time and within budget. Previously, under Mayor Baldwin, construction projects like the Memorial Plaza frustrated businesses for over two years and cost taxpayers $7M over the original budget.

For the pier, my motion required the contractor pay a penalty if late and receive a small bonus if early; as a result, the pier was repaired two weeks early.

As your next mayor, I will continue to work for you, not developers with deep pockets.
