Emergency personnel responded to the victim of a shooting near Surrey Memorial Hospital on Wednesday morning.
The victim, a female with a leg wound, was found sitting on a sidewalk next to a parking lot on 138 Street south of 96 Avenue, just east of the hospital.
The victim was uncooperative with police, who believe the shooting took place elsewhere.
She was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster.
