A blaze that destroyed a South Surrey barn and killed three horses and a dog has been ruled accidental.
Surrey assistant fire Chief Steve Robinson confirmed Tuesday that investigators found "no signs" of foul play behind the fire, which occurred on property in the 16600-block of 16 Avenue around noon on Dec. 30.
While the fire is believed to have started in the southern end of the barn, Robinson said its exact cause may never be known, due to the extent of the damage.
Ten of 13 horses in the barn were rescued from the flames by passerby Morgan Dansie, a Langley resident.
