Cyclist was thrown from bike in 14700-block of Winter Crescent Sunday afternoon.

A cyclist who was thrown from her bike in South Surrey on Sunday is still in hospital.

Surrey RCMP initially told Peace Arch News that “it looks like she’s going to be OK.” However, the victim’s husband told PAN Thursday morning she is still “virtually unconscious.”

As well, an SUV on the scene was not involved in the incident, he said, adding that a driver did stop to assist his injured wife.

The incident occurred in the 14700-block of Winter Crescent at about 2:45 p.m., according to police.

Earlier this week, police could not confirm that the cyclist was struck by a vehicle, and were waiting to first speak with the victim.

Anyone will information on the incident is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
