Photo: Surrey RCMP Surrey RCMP is asking for the public’s help if finding George Gettings who is wanted on an outstanding warrant, but police say not to approach Gettings.

Surrey RCMP says 55-year-old George Gettings, who was wanted on an “outstanding warrant” has turned himself into police.

Police said Gettings turned himself in shortly after noon on Friday (Jan. 4). Surrey RCMP said he contacted police to turn himself in, and Burnaby RCMP went to his location and arrested Gettings “without incident.”

Gettings, a news release states, is in custody awaiting his first court appearance.

Gettings, police said, was wanted on a warrant for allegedly uttering threats.
