Family members and friends of murdered teen Jamie Kehoe gathered to mourn the 18-year-old at Fraser Heights Chapel on Wednesday afternoon, where hundreds of people turned out for the memorial service.

Kehoe, 18, was fatally stabbed on Oct. 8 after an altercation broke out on a bus near the intersection of 128 Street and 72 Avenue.

Police said Kehoe, a Surrey resident, tried to intervene, only to be stabbed in the upper chest by one of the participants.

He was taken to hospital where he died.

There have been no arrests and the  Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) continues to investigate.
