Tree shuts down Fraser Highway in Surrey

On Monday, a tree fell on Fraser at about 146 Street, shutting down traffic in both directions.

Anyone trying to get down Fraser Highway in Surrey on Monday morning was in for a surprise.

A tree fell across the road at about 11 a.m., shutting down traffic in both directions.

Crews quickly worked with chainsaws to buck up the tree and remove it, so traffic could return to normal.

It came just after a morning commute that was met with five to 10 centimeters of new snow.
