Two people have now been charged in connection with a clandestine drug lab discovered in White Rock last month.
Officials with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit announced “a variety of drug and firearms-related” charges against a 46-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman Tuesday morning.
The pair were arrested May 3, after police surrounded a blue, two-storey home in the 800-block of Parker Street around 5:30 p.m.
Members of the RCMP’s Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response Team were called to assist in determining if the site was a clandestine drug lab.
In a May 10 news release, the anti-gang unit detailed numerous illicit items found in the home and a vehicle included six weapons – among them a Kriss Vector .45 ACP rifle, a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun and a Browning Deringer handgun – ammunition, drugs and cash.
A quantity of unknown tablets and powder were among other items discovered in the process.
Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton told Peace Arch News the day after the raid that the investigation had been ongoing for “about a couple months.”
Frederic Wilson-Koonpackdee, 46, and Pardeep Grewal, 31, are in custody, charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, heroin and fentanyl, and possession of a prohibited device.
Wilson-Koonpackdee is also charged with five counts of possession of a firearm and six counts of breach of a firearms prohibition. Grewal is additionally charged with two counts of breach of a firearms prohibition.
Further charges against both are pending, according to the release.
