A Mazda SUV and a Mercedes-Benz sedan collided Tuesday afternoon on the border between South Surrey and White Rock.
The crash shortly after 2 p.m. in the intersection of 154 Street and 16 Avenue caused extensive front-end damage to both vehicles and the force of impact was enough to have triggered the air bags in the Mazda.
Tow trucks were called to remove the two vehicles.
Traffic through the area was slowed for about an hour.
There was no immediate word of injuries.
