Police have arrested a 31-year-old Langley man who drove into another car in Surrey, sending three people to the hospital and then taking off.
At about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, a grey Nissan Sentra was heading eastbound on Fraser Highway when a white Dodge Charger slammed into the rear end of it at 170 Street.
The impact sent the Sentra over the meridian into oncoming traffic, causing a black Ford 350 truck to slam into the rear end of the vehicle.
All three people from the Sentra were sent to hospital. They are expected to make a full recovery.
The driver of the Charger took off.
Soon after the collision, Langley RCMP arrested the man police believe is responsible for the crash.
Police expect to recommend charges of dangerous operation of a vehicle and failure to remain at the scene of an accident. Alcohol and drugs have not been ruled out in the accident, police say, adding that's an avenue they are exploring.
