Update: Teen arrested in Surrey school stabbing

18-year-old victim stabbed twice in the back is now recovering at home.



Police have arrested a 17 year old in relation to the stabbing of a fellow student at Princess Margaret Secondary School on Thursday.

At about noon, police were called to an  incident at the 128 Street and 72 Avenue school and found an 18 year old who had been stabbed in the back.

He was taken to hospital and his now at home recovering from his injuries.

The suspect dropped the knife and ran.

He called police from his home at about 4:30 p.m. and said they could come and pick him up.

Police were recommending charges of assault causing bodily harm.

The teen was expected to appear in court on Friday where he would face formal charges.
