A Vancouver Stanley Cup Riot suspect was arrested Monday while trying to enter Canada at the Douglas/Peace Arch border crossing.

A spokesperson for the Canada Border Services Agency said Dakota Schlag was arrested after a "secondary examination" revealed that he was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

He was immediately arrested and turned over to the RCMP.

Schlag's arrest leaves two other riot suspects still at large in the United States, police said.

Peter Jensen White is an American, while Nigel Li is a Canadian who is studying at a U.S. university. Both are in their 20s.

Vancouver police earlier told reporters the suspects in the U.S. were told of the warrants by their local police and know they will be arrested if they try to enter Canada.

Schlag, a 20-year-old psychology student, was described as an "avid skier" who took a summer job working for a heli-skiing operator in Alaska by the Ubyssey student newspaper.

He is charged with participating in a riot and mischief.

An out-of-control mob went on a rampage after the Vancouver Canucks lost game seven of the Stanley Cup final to the Boston Bruins on June 15, 2011, causing an estimated $3 million in property damage.
