A side street in Surrey's Boundary Park was covered by snow on Sunday afternoon.

WEATHER UPDATE: New snowfall warning, Alex Fraser Bridge closed

More snow expected for Monday as temperature hovers around freezing.

A new snowfall warning for Metro Vancouver was issued late Sunday afternoon by Environment Canada.

In Surrey, a new dumping of snow took place on Sunday, making for more accumulations on top of the two days of precipitation on Friday and Saturday.

To add to the frustration of drivers on Highway 91, the Alex Fraser Bridge was shut down at about 4 p.m. due to road conditions, and a semi-trailer collision blocked traffic at Highways 91 and 99.

Commuters are urged to stay avoid the areas.

More snow is expected on Monday.
