Two White Rock ATM users were robbed at gunpoint days apart and only a block away from one another this week.

The first robbery took place Sunday at Toronto Dominion Bank in the 15100-block of North Bluff Road.

A 63-year-old Ontario man reported he had been robbed by a man who concealed his face and was carrying a black gun.

On Tuesday, a similar incident took place at the Royal Bank in the 15000-block of North Bluff Road involving a 62-year-old South Surrey woman.

Mounties are looking for a Caucasian male in his 20s, approximately six-foot-one with a thin build.

According to police, the suspect may be using a vehicle as attempts to track him with police dogs were unsuccessful.

RCMP have also reminded the public to exercise caution while using bank machines by having another person present when possible, maintain an awareness of surroundings throughout the transaction and whenever possible, using the machine during regular banking hours.

Anyone with information is asked to contact White Rock RCMP at 778-593-3600 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
