The trial of a woman accused of defrauding her White Rock employer is now set for early next year.

The proceedings stem from the arrest of a Clayton-area resident in February 2013, following investigation into the disappearance of $44,000 over the course of nine months in 2012.

The matter was originally scheduled to be heard last month (Sept. 15-18) in Surrey Provincial Court.

New dates – Feb. 24-27 – were set during an appearance Oct. 2.

Karen Ann Chura is charged with fraud, forgery and using forged cheques.
