White Rock RCMP are investigating a sexual incident involving a minor.

According to court information online, the offence – “sexual interference of person under 16” – occurred in late September.

Court-ordered bans prohibit the publication of any information that could identify the victim.

Peace Arch News first learned of the alleged offence after it appeared on the schedule for Nov. 19 appearances in Surrey Provincial Court. Another appearance took place last Wednesday.

Last week, police said only that the matter is still before the courts and more information would be provided “after charge approval.”
