KEMBEL, ALBERT

Born June 8, 1923 near Ridgedale, SK and passed away May 22, 2008 in Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster, B.C. His wife Lydia (2003), three brothers and two sisters predeceased him.

Albert moved to Chilliwack, B.C. with his family in 1937. He entered the Canadian army in 1941 serving overseas with the Canadian Scottish Regiment. Upon his return he trained as a carpenter which became his lifelong passion. Great care and pride showed in everything he built.

He married Lydia Renner in 1953. They settled in South Surrey where they raised their family. His greatest joys were his children and grand- children. He kept bountiful gardens and a variety of pets, chuckled over a good gag gift, quietly helped many in need, and always had time for a visit with those who dropped by.

He is lovingly remembered and greatly missed by daughters Valerie (Syd) Baxter of Cloverdale and Darlene (Gordon) Hull of Red Deer, AB; grandchildren - Brittany Hull (fianceBen Woodrow), Jesse Hull, and Tegan Craig-Kembel; two sisters, Molly (John) Viselli of Claremont, CA, and Clara Taylor (Dave) of Lethbridge, AB as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Setting down his hammer and tools for a final time, Albert is now in the

presence of "The Master Carpenter".
