HAZLETT, Alex. Born June 8/1925-
- Died Aug 12/2012. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Alex Hazlett. Dad died peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital with his son and daughter in law by his side.
Survived by son Alex (Debbie), daughters Tina and Nella. Grandchildren Vickie (Rob), Nicole (Joe), Laura (Andy), 5 great grandchildren and one on the way.
Predeceased by wife Ann, grandson Gordon, and granddaughter Ali.
Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, Dad moved to White Rock in 1948 where he met fellow Scot and love of his life Ann. Together they raised their 3 children, hung out in ballparks, lawn bowling clubs, very cold ice rinks and later Vegas 3 times a year. Dad was an electrician with Hume and Rumble, when in 1965, he joined Canada Post as a Letter Carrier in White Rock. There he stayed until his retirement in 1987.
A wonderful Father and Grandfather, his good humour and personality will be missed by all who knew him. No service at Dad's request, although you could have a Scotch at 4:00 and 4:30 PM precisely. He would like that.
