Alice Clara Fisher (nee Klein)

Alice Clara (Klein) Fisher, 95, of White Rock, BC passed peacefully with friends on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. She was born to Frank and Dora Klein on June 2, 1924 in Killam, AB. She worked at Boeing where she met her love and life partner, Neil "Bud" Fisher, who predeceased her in 2012. Alice and Bud were married 68 years and raised six children in Port Moody, BC. Alice worked as a homemaker and seamstress. In her spare time she was an incredible artist. For years she taught classes at the Port Moody Arts Centre and throughout her life beautifully captured her travels and her memories with paint, pencil, and pastels. No medium was too challenging for her masterful artistry. She passed on her love of creating art to her children, grandchildren, and to other members of the White Rock Art Society which she was a part of. Alice and Bud moved to White Rock in 1977 then finally to Peninsula Retirement Residence where they enjoyed new friends and happily spent the rest of their lives. Alice's true passion was her family and she sought to connect with them at every occasion. Every visit and phone call brought her great joy and comfort.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Hugh, Art, Bernard, and Dick; her son, Neil; son-in-law, Harvey; her sister, Mary; and her parents. Alice is survived by her sisters, Anna, Teddie, Irene, and sister-in-law, Elma; her beloved children, Aleta, Laura (Roger), Art (Donna), Ed (Kim), and Rob (Helen); her 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends. All of whom she loved and touched deeply in a way only she could-with great kindness, a sense of humor, and subtle air of sass. Alice was devoted to God and the Catholic Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2250-150th St., Surrey. Reception to follow.
