Alice W. (Dunlop, Hagerman) Noseworthy

April 11, 2005

Our beloved Mother, Nana and Great Grandmother peacefully passed into God's care in her 91st year in White ROck. BC.

Alice had a full and rewarding life, and her spirit and strength of character will live with us always.

Alice was the youngest of three daughters born to Alexander and Jeannie Dunlop, predeceased by sisters Christine and Jean.

She grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Vancouver and attended Britannia High School forming life long friendships she treasured. This group included a dashing young man, Hazen Hagerman, who Alice would later claim for her own.

Hazen and Alice were married in 1944, and after WWII settled in Shannon Estates in South Vancouver.

Hazen was unexpectedly called to God's service in 1961.

Alice persevered, returning to full time work at Equitable Real Estate while raising a daughter and two sons.

The family moved to White Rock in 1969, which Alice loved dearly.

In 1974, Alice and Charlie Noseworthy wed and started a new life together, both of them having lost their first loves,

Alice and Charlie enjoyed many wonderful years traveling, with fond memories of winters spent in Palm Desert, CA.

Charlie predeceased Alice in 2000.

Alice was an accomplished pianist, graduating from the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto).

She tutored and played the piano all her life.

In her retirement, she became an avid and talented painter, and she also gave generously of her time in charitable causes.

Alice faced the world with a refined grace and elegance uniquely her own.

She knew each and every day was a gift, not to be wasted, and was a positive force in the lives of everyone fortunate to have known her.

We will all miss Ally dearly.

Alice is survived by her daughter Diane Middler (Lorne), son Ron Hagerman and son Brian Hagerman (Alicia), nephew Terry Dougan, stepson Bob Noseworthy (Evelyn) and stepdaughter Charlene Newbigging.
