AMANDA THORNLEY

THORNLEY, AMANDA RACHEL

March 24, 1989 – June 15, 2010

It is with deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Amanda Rachel Thornley. Amanda was an exceptional student from an early age. She was a student at Star of the Sea Elementary and Elgin Park Secondary Schools in South Surrey before moving to Abbotsford. Amanda was an Honour Roll student at Robert Bateman Secondary. She was active in Choir, Yearbook Committee, Bateman Leadership Team, Multicultural Club, The Key Club (Kiwanis), S.T.A.R., Peer Tutoring and Operation Xmas Child.

Amanda received numerous scholarships and was a nominee for the Governor Generals award including a tuition paid scholarship to U.B.C. where she had just completed a third year.

She worked in Abbotsford at McDonald’s, Shoppers Drug Mart and then at La Provence Restaurant. She truly enjoyed her most recent job at the Bombay Company in Vancouver.

Amanda will be remembered by her family and friends for her incredible sense of adventure, love of books, her passion for travel, her infectious smile and the friendliness she showed to everyone she met.

Amanda we know you are with us every day, unseen and unheard but always here.

YOU ARE LOVED AND MISSED EVERY MOMENT

Love, Mom, Dad, Christa, Steve, Zach, Connor, Kristi, family and friends,
