After her third fight with cancer in the last 13 years, Ann passed away peacefully at home with her family and friends at her side. She is predeceased by her father and mother, George and Grace Deighton, her husband Don Potten, her sister Fay Harris and her nephew Jason Deighton Sarzetakis. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Ed Hennessy, her son Trevor Deighton, her daughter Stacey Lalana and her husband Anton, her son Wade Potten and his wife Laura, siblings Elgin Deighton, Ruth Deighton, and seven grandchildren, George Deighton, Silvano and Mireya Lalana, and Juliette, Jeremiah, Timothy and Sofia Potten as well as a large group of family and friends. Ann loved to entertain and was known for throwing a good party for family and friends. She was known for her love of Bob Marley. She loved her job of 35 years working for the City of Surrey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kwomais Point Park,
1367 128th Street, Surrey BC
on Sunday, July 23, 2017, from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Come with your funny stories of times spent with Ann as she wants this to be a party, not a sad event. There might even be some Bob Marley to dance to!!
