MACLEOD: Anne Dineley (Nancy). It is with great sadness we announce the death of Anne (Nancy) MacLeod on February 22, 2006 in Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, B.C. at the age of 97 years.
She was born in Bulwell, County of Nottingham, England on December 3, 1908 to E. Thomas and Annie (Anderton) Oglesby. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Olga. She is survived by her two sons, Ian and Keith (Marilyn) and granddaughter Sheena (Kevin) and step-grandsons Mark (Licia) and Donald Amos. She had a great appreciation for music, particularly opera, and was very active in the operatic performance in England prior to emigrating to Carcross, Yukon to marry James Maxton MacLeod on August 26, 1940. They relocated to Aklavik, Lower Post, Edmonton, Calgary, Chilliwack, White Rock and she spent her last years in South Surrey at Westminster House. A private family memorial will be held at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre on Thursday March 2, 2006. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in her memory.
