Anne was born in 1904 in Scotland, died April 21, 2003 in White Rock. Predeceased by her husband Philip Nelson Seabrook ("Nelson") and survived by her sons, Philip of Vancouver and Alan of Delta, their spouses, Elizabeth and Dawn, her grandchildren Shauna, Janene, Lynsey, Heather and Mark and 5 great grandchildren.
Anne came to Canada in 1912 with her parents, Thomas and Devina Brown and 2 brothers, Bert and Thomas. They settled initially in Winnipeg but moved to Edmonton shortly thereafter where Anne became a legal secretary for Griesbach & O'Connor. She married Nelson in 1936. She "retired" to raise her family but later became the secretary at Norwood Elementary School. She and Nelson were active members of Norwood United Church. They moved to White Rock in 1979.
A celebration of her life will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 1480 George Street, White Rock at 2:00 p.m. on April 26, 2003 and Anne's family would welcome the attendance of her friends. Her family respectfully requests that no flowers be sent but would prefer that a donation be made to a charity of the giver's choice in Anne's memory.
