Mackenzie, Barbara Claire. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Barbara. Born January 31, 1947 in Vancouver, BC, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 15, 2009 in Surrey, BC. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Samantha (Oscar) and Claire (Jon); her grandson Ryan. Step-son Sean (Rene) and their children Brianna and Rhys and Step-son Todd; her sister Joan and brother Murray (Micki); extended family and friends. Barbara had a strong faith in the Lord which carried her through her courageous battle with cancer. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday June 22, 2009 at 1:30 pm at Peace Portal Alliance Church, 15128 - 27A Ave., Surrey, BC. A special thanks to Libby, Drew and all the staff from Nurse-Next-Door. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Society.
