Beatrice Young

Beatrice passed away peacefully on March 16, 2003 in South Surrey, B.C. Bea was born June 10, 1923 in Czar, Alberta. She was raised in Salmon Arm/Tappen area and at age 18 moved to Albert Canyon where she met her husband Kenneth Young. After many years of working and residing in Revelstoke, B.C. they moved to Vancouver and retired in White Rock in 1983.

Bea will be remembered as a gentle, caring, compassionate lady known for her gracious and considerate ways. She was always concerned with others well being. Her family and friends can give testament to her many acts of kindness. She leaves a legacy of numerous paintings for her children and grandchildren.

Bea was predeceased by her husband Kenneth, in 1992, by her parents Annie and Anthony Partridge and her sister Nora Danchuk.

Loving memories of Mom are shared by sons Gordon (Elaine), Don (Merle), Rick, and daughter Sharon (Tom) Kohlman, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Also, sister Frances (Walter) Gucwa, brothers Duncan (Hazel) Partridge, Stanley Partridge, nieces and nephews.

Family graveside service was held Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at 2:00 p.m.

Memorial tea was held at Bea's last residence Westminster House, Surrey, B.C. on Thursday, March 20, 2003.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of B.C., 1212 West Broadway, Vancouver, B.C.
