September 16, 1922 – February 25, 2019
You are the finest, loveliest, tenderest and most beautiful person I have ever known – and even that is an understatement. F. Scott Fitzgerald
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Bette on February 25, 2019. She was surrounded by love.
Bette was a beloved Mother and Nana and devoted Wife. She is survived by her Daughter-Tina Thornton and Grandson-Scott Connell (Jennifer). Preceded in death by her husband (Major Del Harrison). Bette took great joy in the love of her family and we adored her.
Bette will forever be remembered as the picture of grace. She was precious, elegant and full of kindness.
Bette grew up in England, became a Nurse and bestowed compassion to victims of World War II. She became a War Bride and moved to Canada. Bette and Del travelled to many parts of the world and led a most interesting life.
During the past year, Bette endured so much. Yet, she maintained her sweet spirit and was cared for with immense love and compassion.
Darling Mama … We were incredibly blessed to have each other. You were ‘the best’. You will be eternally treasured, forever missed. May you be at peace in the arms of the Angels.
