Betty Elise (nee Vance) was born in Vancouver, B.C. January 29, 1944. She passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Palliative Care, in White Rock on July 23, 2003 at 5:40 p.m., after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Predeceased by her mother, Elise, and her father, Dr. Robert A. Vance, (D.C.). She is survived by her husband Archer, brother Alan, mother-in-law Jean, 5 children: Bruce (Theresa), David (Judy), Elise (Mark), Chris (Rose), Andrew (Rachelle), many loving grandchildren, and friends.
Betty was very involved in the Sechelt community and touched many lives with her grace and love. She was the past Matron of Mount Elphinstone's Eastern Star Chapter No. 65, and a member of the B.C. Professional Women's Association.
Celebration Tea will be held at White Rock Masonic Hall, Tuesday, August 5th, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Betty would appreciate donations be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
