MARE, Beverley Joan. Mar. 2, 1928 - Dec. 5, 2012. Beverley passed away surrounded by her loving daughters, Deborah (David) Chapman, Shelley Mare (Peter) and Lesley (Doug) Leard. She is missed by her 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Vancouverite, Bev taught at Kerrisdale School. She wed Phil, the love of her life, in 1951. They raised their girls while keeping busy with curling, tennis, golf, bridge and many Arbutus Club functions. They enjoyed travel & had fond memories of their boat, "Filly". Bev was always an active volunteer, most recently at Bishop's Green and The Peninsula in White Rock. She was a fine lady and will be dearly missed.
