February 5, 1934 - October 26, 2021
Loving husband, father and Opa - Bruno passed away at Evergreen Baptist Campus of Care on October 26, 2021, at 87 years of age. He was born in Vancouver BC to Alex and Emma Bush. One brother, Stanley, completed the family. He graduated from John Oliver Secondary school in 1952. Bruno married Elfriede Golz on November 15, 1963. They had two daughters, Pamela (1967) and JoAnne (1968). Bruno began his career as an x-ray technician at VGH; he later moved to Baltimore MD, eventually becoming Chief Technician in the x-ray dept, and later at several institutions including Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Maple Ridge Hospital in Haney, and Scripps Clinic and Research foundation in La Jolla, CA. Upon returning with his family to Vancouver, he was employed by the Province of BC as a Radiation Inspection Officer until his retirement in 1992. Bruno and Elfriede moved to Surrey BC in 1997. Bruno said many times that he had a good life. Unfortunately, Alzheimer's robbed him of his memory much too soon, but we will never forget him. Special thanks to the capable and kind staff who cared for him there.
Left to mourn are his loving wife of almost 58 years, Elfriede, and daughters Pamela (Andy) Erkau and JoAnne (Alex) Kunert; grandchildren Daniel, Bryan, Katrina, Nathan, Amy and Adam; brother Stan (Darlene) and their family. We have blessed assurance that we will be joyfully reunited with Bruno in heaven one day. To leave the family online condolences, please visit victorymemorialpark.com.
The family requests that if desired, donations in his memory be made to the Union Gospel Mission or the Alzheimer Society of BC. A celebration of Bruno's life will be held at White Rock Baptist Church on Saturday, November 13 at 11 am. Everyone is welcome to attend. Those planning to attend the reception following, will need to show proof of vaccination.
