Camille (Swanson) Mather

Born on March 16th, 1912 in Vancouver, B.C. died September 30th, 2008 in Surrey, B.C. Wife, mother, friend, nurse, politician and tireless supporter of the New Democratic Party: MLA 1960 - 1963 Delta.

After a long and happy life Camille passed away following a fall earlier in September. Predeceased by her husband Barry, Camille leaves a circle of family who will keep her memory in their hearts. Daughters Mary and Jane, their husbands Mike and Peter; grandsons Angus (Agnes), Blair (Alicia), James (Laura), Jeremy (Sherri), Pascal (Bailey) and Jay (Janet). Great grandchildren; Cassady, Tosh, Wyatt, Elyse and Camille. The family are grateful to Dr. Paton and the staff at Peace Portal Lodge for their care and kindness over the past four years. In keeping with Camille's wishes there will not be a funeral service. Her ashes are to be scattered on the Gatineau river in Wakefield, Quebec.
