Carlos R. Ceron

Passed away March 26, 2003 at 6:20 a.m. at the Peace Arch Hospital after battling AML (Leukemia). He is survived by his spouse Maria Elena Bormiolli de Ceron and his two daughters, Flavia Ceron-Pereira (Redmond, WA) and Janina Ceron (Waterloo, Ontario). He was the proud grandfather of his two grandchildren, Alexander and Alyssa Pereira and also father-in-law to Jorge E. Pereira who resides in Redmond, WA. Carlos also leaves behind his only brother Luis Ceron, sister-in-law Teresa Ceron, a nephew Reverend Luis Ignacio Ceron and niece Clara Ceron in Chile.

Carlos was born in Santiago, Chile on July 29, 1931 and was a Professional Mechanical Engineer graduated, Catholic University of Valparaiso, Chile. Carlos reunited all his friends from his High School and Rowing Club in Chile in 1997 with the help of his closest friends, Dr. Julio Diaz who supported him until his end. He lived a large part of his life in Ontario and 13 years ago moved west to B.C. where he retired in White Rock. Carlos was a quiet and gentle man who always helped those around him, he will be missed and was dearly loved by all. There will be a private Memorial for Carlos and his dog, Bonita on Saturday April 12, 2003 from 1 - 5 p.m. with a service at 2 p.m. at Franklin Place Condos, 1378 George St. White Rock, B.C.
