BRADBURY, Cecil Herbert

December 2, 1918 - September 11, 2016


Cecil passed away peacefully on September 11th, 2016 at the age of 97. He was born December 2 1918 to Thomas and Emma Bradbury.

Predeceased by his wife of 71 years Agnes; brother Norman Bradbury and son-in-law Ron Morrison.

He will be lovingly remembered by his only daughter Bonnie Lynn Morrison, grandchildren Cheryl-Ann/Rick Bell, Dean/Claudette Morrison, Randy/Colleen Morrison, great-grandchildren; Kayla Randi Morrison, Ryan Bradley Morrison, Stephanie Julie-Anne Bell plus many nieces and nephews.


The kind and compassionate care provided by the staff at Peace Portal Seniors Village was so very much appreciated. Special thanks also to Reygi, Maria, Reygil & Pete Puerto.


Cecil’s passing brings to a close an entire generation on the Cranston Clan Family Tree: Jim/Louise Cranston, Jack/Alice Cooper, Mac/Jean Cranston, Hal/Toots Schultz, Tug/Del Wilson, Cec/Agnes Bradbury. Thanks for the memories!


The Department of Veterans Affairs recently honored Cecil with a lapel pin and Certificate of Recognition for of his service in WWII where he was Leading Seaman aboard the HMCS St Laurent.

Cecil worked in the automotive industry, eventually retiring as Manager of the Body Shop for Wolfe Chevrolet where he worked for over 30 years. He was an avid gardener and devoted golfer who especially enjoyed the 19th hole with his buddies.
