October 9, 1959 - October 9, 2018
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Robin. Charles Robin Codrington Hobkirk was an incredibly devoted husband and father and leaves behind his wife Marion, son Chase (Elizabeth), stepsons Jordan (Jessica) and Kevin. Papa to 3 grandsons, Kylar, Dallas and Parker, son to June (94 years young) and Charlie (deceased), son-in-law to Ethel (deceased) twin brother to Adrian (Leslie), brother-in-law to Lynda and Janet (deceased), Barry, Neal, Rosemary and Sam, uncle to Austin, Anthony, Shelley, Jennifer and Hayley and great uncle to Jaden and Jordyn, as well as many grieving friends.

He was an incredibly hard working realtor for his clients over the past 30 years and an untiring auto/marine mechanic extraordinaire for the past 40 years. In 1996 he opened a successful automotive shop attached to the Mohawk gas station on King George Highway in South Surrey, before branching out to Real Estate. Robin truly could do it all. No task was too hard for him to accomplish and excel at. No mountain too high to intimidate him and no injury too big to overcome, until he fought an impossible monster of a brain cancer, glioblastoma. Almost a year to the day he was diagnosed and on his 59th birthday, Robin could fight no longer, this beast of a cancer won. For someone as active and social as Robin, this was the cruelest of all cancers. Over the course of a year, it robbed him of his brilliant methodical thought process, his mobility and eventually his speech. It left him bedridden and extremely frustrated that he could not carry out the tasks that had always come second nature to him. Robin loved to work and socialize with clients and his many friends that were so important to him. Words cannot describe the void left in our lives. A life without Robin.

The family wishes to thank everyone for all the love and support they have received during this incredibly hard past year. Robin wanted a big send-off.
